More than 25 kilometers of subterranean passages and over 300 caves have been found by national and international speleologists in Costa Rica. Like large veins, underground rivers have been discovered,  carrying our most precious component for life: water.

The deepest cave found so far lies 172 meters under ground and the longest underground river is 1,600 mts. 40 Different types of minerals have also been found in these caves, as well as an enormous amount of biological, archeological and geological richness, waiting to be discovered. 

These places hold important Costa Rican heritage and a visual bounty for photographers and  directors interested in discovering these fascinating sets . Venture below the surface for our country's most spectacular views with us and come find your inner explorer!
